Sonni Web (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website located at sonniweb.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
In short: no analytics, marketing, or other non-essential technology runs until you make a choice in our cookie banner. We do not sell or share personal information, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals automatically.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only two categories of information from visitors:
a. Contact Form Submissions
When you submit our contact form, we collect the name, email address, website, stated interest, and message you provide. We also store your browser’s user-agent string for spam and abuse prevention. We do not store your IP address with the submission. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and to keep a reasonable record of correspondence. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your IP address is processed transiently by our hosting and security layer to rate-limit form submissions and block abuse. It is not written to our database and is not linked to your submission.
b. Analytics
We use privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible, and optionally Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns on the Site — for example, which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and the general geographic region of visitors. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies to collect a randomized identifier, IP address (anonymized where supported), browser and device information, and pages viewed. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries you send through the contact form.
- To understand site usage in aggregate so we can improve content and design.
- To detect, prevent, or address technical issues and abuse.
Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
- Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) — analytics and any non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as granting it.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — keeping the Site secure, preventing spam and abuse, and maintaining records of correspondence.
- Steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — responding to a service inquiry you initiate.
3. Cookies
The Site uses a small set of cookies for essential functionality and, with your consent, for analytics. You can change your preferences at any time using the “Privacy Preferences” link in the footer. Most browsers also let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
A full list of every cookie and script the Site can set is on our Cookie Policy page. Non-essential technologies are only loaded after you accept them; if you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, they are never loaded at all.
To withdraw consent, open Privacy Preferences from the footer and choose “Withdraw consent,” or use the Do Not Sell or Share page.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Site (such as analytics) and only as needed to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Our processors are: our website hosting and database provider, our analytics provider (Plausible, and Google Analytics only where enabled), and our email delivery provider, which processes contact form notifications and confirmations. Some of these providers process data in the United States; where personal data of EEA or UK residents is transferred, we rely on the providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
5. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months, or longer where a business relationship or legal obligation requires it, and are deleted sooner on request. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured for each tool. Your cookie choice is stored in your own browser until you clear it or change it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at hello@sonniweb.com.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. EEA and UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
California residents
Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request to know, delete, or correct the personal information we hold, and you may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can still record an opt-out on the Do Not Sell or Share page, and we honour Global Privacy Control browser signals as a valid opt-out automatically.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected by updating that date.
10. Contact
